Not only does she cook and bake to make my life easier Kiandra also made my Grade 1 video for chapel this Friday. She is so fast at making videos and extremely talented.

A gorgeous day for a walk with this handsome guy to buy Iced Java.

That time Kezia treated me to a macaroon because I accompanied her and took her out shopping for clothes for Mexico. Sometimes when your "to-do" list is too long you can still make time for things like this.

It is an awesome day when you attempt a new art project (kandinski's circles with plasticine) and it works out awesome!

Conrad sent me and Kiandra this message that he was saving us a seat at Kaden's band concert...

I always have my students look up their address on google maps during our unit on community and when I showed my students my house....guess who got captured during yard work on the google maps camera?!!

Thank you Lord for allowing me to teach at a Christian school.
Thank you Lord for the Spring Concert and the story of Elijah vs Baal.
Thank you Lord for making it through the Spring Concert season. ;)
Thank you Lord for the hand of protection on a staff member injured in an accident yesterday.
God is good.

It was the 7th year that my Grade 1 class has planted flowers at school. The tradition of planting started with a special parent volunteer during my first year of teaching. I love carrying on this tradition as a way to remember her.

One of the many reasons I am so glad Kiandra is home...she is an amazing cook! I can home to homemade naan bread to go with the butter chicken she made for supper.

Hard to believe that it's time to register Kaden for Driver's Ed already....

Sunday, May 15, 2016

We left Kezia and Kaden at the church after the service for a meeting as they are in the final preparations for their mission trip to Mexico this summer....

One thing Kezia and Kaden appreciate about Kiandra being home is that she is a great cook and can whip up meals for them in no time. Tonight it was breakfast for supper: French toast, hashbrowns, bacon and lots of toppings for the French Toast.

That time Kezia had soccer and it was 7 degrees and windy and I stopped on the way home to buy her a hot chocolate....

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

all things are possible

even winning a soccer game being 1 player short against a strong team
even watching Kezia score while playing mid field
even catching that game winning goal on video
even sitting in a winter parka and wool blanket today after enjoying last week's game temperature of 35 degrees

all things are possible

Things just seem better when everyone is in the same city. Kiandra has spent the last 2 days volunteering in my classroom (because she was bored on Monday being home all day with nothing to do!) and today I took her out for lunch to thank her for all her work organizing and working in my classroom.

Kiandra has adjusted to this time zone with zero issues. She isn't scheduled to work until Thursday and after months of busy-ness she is not used to being without anything to do. She even came with me to watch Kaden's ball hockey game...that tells you how desperate she is to do something, lol!

Sunday, May 8, 2016

After months of waking up to snap chat messages from Kiandra to start my day, this message greeted me this morning sent from her bedroom down the stairs instead of half way around the world.

Saturday, May 7, 2016

I went to school for a few hours to do some things while I waited for the evening to come to finally pick up Kiandra. I sent Kiandra this message after I watched her plane land in Chicago on the flight tracker app...

I'm surprised with the record breaking hot temperatures today that Kezia would post this since she doesn't really like the heat. However, maybe she can stand the heat more than she can stand precal ;)

Where in the World is Kiandra today? Stalker Mom strikes again....
