This girl is off to spread her wonderful-ness across the ocean as she leaves to nanny in France.

Must be a crazy coincidence that today on Kezia's 17th birthday the  "vrsly" overlay was about Kezia's favourite treat:

(Yes it says "15" instead of "17" we added 2 ever lit candles to total 17 and to have a little fun with her when she couldn't blow them out!)

My laptop has been giving me issues lately and Kiandra's laptop has become the backup for many school assignments and even for Conrad's blog posts. She's taking her laptop with her when she leaves and so it was time to replace mine. I am so happy to have a new one that will work consistently.

Kiandra was told that her train ticket would arrive 4 days before and here it is...

(The email arrived in French and she almost deleted it because she thought it was spam!)

Creating some Eric Carle inspired art pieces with my Grade 1 friends today...

I had a consultation with a neurologist for the odd symptoms I have been experiencing since before Christmas. Today's appointment confirmed the need for the MRI because all the tests they have done so far have come back normal. It might be a long wait for the MRI and the neurologist thinks it might be summer before I get an appointment. However, the symptoms have become more manageable which is a real blessing. Now I just have to be still and wait...

Enjoying a meal around the table with all 5 of us...Kiandra's choice for lunch: quesadillas.

Wherever I am...hanging at home, driving or picking my kids up from work, cheering on the soccer balcony, watching from the hockey sidelines, or on the ride home I know that God is with me wherever I go.

When your husband hates to cook, you leave a crockpot meal in the slow cooker to be ready to go for supper when you get home...

So thankful for Kaden's decision to attend the high school close to where I teach. Even with some long days because of volleyball, prodding some mornings to get out the door on time, and some early mornings because of band sectional I am thankful for all the extra hours I have been able to spend with Kaden. What a blessing it has been to drive him each morning and many afternoons. Today I will choose to "Give Thanks" for his choice of high school.

I am one of the contributors for this Bible blog. Today was my day to post and the passage today included the first chapters in the book of Job. As I read the passage I thought about how Job reacted to the tragedies in his life. 21 And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

A bad sprain during dryland training the other day for Kaden means a splint and rest for the next few days...

Kaden's math sub said when they were finished their work they could go on their phones...and when I got this snap chat I thought Kaden had sent it to me by mistake. :)

Digging out a new cooperative game from Peaceable Kingdom that will hopefully teach my Grade 1 friends to be kind during this trying season of indoor recess!

I was able to have a quick nap (Meddachschlop) this afternoon with my cuddle buddy.

We've had some unseasonably warmer temperatures lately but today it was a cold one! -35 degrees C with the wind chill this morning as I dropped Kezia off for work and this was the view from the parking lot when I dropped off Kezia for soccer this afternoon:

I'm thankful for our church and the deep friendships our kids have made there. This weekend is the Young Adults retreat and Kiandra and her friend Kara decided to go. My prayer is that their faith walk grows as they begin new things that challenge them and may lead them out of their comfort an upcoming opportunity in France!

Conrad usually spends his day off running errands and he texted me this pic of the new headlight he picked up for my van and new washer fluid too. Before he left for floor hockey, he replaced the burnt out light and topped up my fluid.

Kaden was sick today and so he didn't go to hockey practice. It was nice to give Kezia the van to get to soccer so I could just stay at home.

Kaden made the score sheet again getting a two minute penalty.

Kezia's soccer team played hard today until the very end...but they still ended up losing the game 2-0. :(

I'm trying something new this year and adding a VRSLY overlay to this year's photos on this blog.

After (finally!) finishing reading through the Bible last year, I'm participating again this year on this blog reading through the Bible chronologically.
